Winter Tales

conceived by Mark Nash
directed by Cristina Alicea
Hosted by Kathryn Blume

Produced December 12-16, 2018
Pour yourself a cup of hot cider, grab a plate of molasses cookies, and join us for our 14th annual holiday tradition filled with funny and heartfelt stories and songs to shine a bit of sunlight on the dark days of winter.

Featuring brand new stories by Pete Sutherland, Geoffrey Gevalt, and Stephen Kiernan, and an old favorite by Kathryn Blume; poetry brought to you by the Young Writers Project; and songs written and performed by Patti Casey and Pete Sutherland.

Featured Stories
Ice Scrapers by Pete Sutherland
One man, a car covered in mounds of snow, and a broken ice scraper makes for a zany new installment of the adventures of la famille LaPierre.

A Hannukah Light by Kathy Blume
This old favorite about a boy and the beauty of Hannukah has been dusted off and refreshed for you all to enjoy anew.

The Bicycle by Stephen Kiernan
When a kid from The Farm steals Neil's bike, he decides to go get it back but discovers something altogether surprising about the kid -- and himself -- along the way.

Doc Fowler by Geoffrey Gevalt
December 1947. It's the middle of the night and a blizzard is howling. Doc Fowler has taken the horses and carriage up the mountain to make an emergency house call when he comes upon a strange man standing in the road. Is he a friend or foe? And how did he get so far out here?
