This summer, Vermont Stage invites adults of all experience levels to explore advanced acting in a supportive and creatively energizing environment. Whether you are brand new, returning to an old passion, or ready to challenge yourself in a new way, this class is designed to help you grow as a creative person, learn and expand your avenues of expression, and connect with others through storytelling and performance.

Advanced Acting INTENSIVE

When is someone going to give me a part I can really sink my teeth into? How do I know what I'm capable of if I never get a chance? Whether you want to finally play the lover, the hero, the villain, or more. Bring your desire to this scene-study class and trust that you'll be held to the highest standards with care and respect. Bring the scene of your dreams or have options provided to you. This six-week class will culminate in an invited showing of your hard work with friends, family, and local theatre-makers. It is a chance for you to do your best work yet. Don't wait for permission to act.

About The Teacher

Quinn Rol

Quinn (he/him) is a stage actor, director, and certified teacher of Kristin Linklater’s world-renowned voice technique. His teaching blends vocal freedom, physical presence, and playful exploration to help actors unlock their impulses and connect more deeply to their work. In this class, Quinn will guide students through scene study and exercises designed to build authenticity, responsiveness, and joy in performance.

Quinn holds an MFA from Columbia University and brings over a decade of combined professional acting and teaching experience. He is the only Designated Linklater Voice Teacher in Vermont, works with the Flynn’s Poetry Out Loud program and the Vermont Symphony Orchestra’s Musicians in Schools program, and is active in Burlington’s theatre community as an actor, director, educator, and collaborator.
