Boubs is two years into his Peace Corps service in Senegal and has been bending the rules to get things done. When a supply truck mishap lands him in the hospital on the eve of the new millennium, he finds himself face to face with Dina, a sharp and enigmatic U.S. government operative who asks for a dangerous favor. Smitten, idealistic, and desperate to prove himself, Boubs agrees to help. But as the stakes of Dina's mission become clear, he finds himself in over his head and must decide how far he is willing to go to do what is right.
