Roya Millard

Born and raised in NYC, Roya moved to VT in 2013. In theaters he splits his time between lighting design and acting; in clubs and bars he hosts drag and burlesque shows and performs as his alter ego Beaux Peepers. This is his third show with Vermont Stage, having appeared in the Bake-Off productions of Barefoot in the Park (2017) and God of Carnage (2022). Roya has worked as both a designer and an actor on various productions with Essex Community Players, Lamoille County Players, and Stowe Theatre Guild; favorites include Heathers: the Musical (designer, Stowe), Mamma Mia! (“Bill”, Stowe), Blithe Spirit (“Madame Arcati”, Essex), and Macbeth (designer, Essex). This past year he worked on three productions with Lyric Theatre Company: Looking for the Heart of Saturday Night (lighting design), Matilda: the Musical (“Sergei”), and Ivy+Bean (sound); he is thrilled to be the lighting designer for their production of Shrek: the Musical in 2023.
