Katie Owens

This is Katie’s second Bake-off, having played Charlotte in Beyond Therapy.  Also with Vermont Stage she played Dottie in Good People.  Katie holds a B.A. in Fine Arts/Drama from St. Michael’s College under the tutelage of Don and Joanne Rathgeb.  Other local roles, Grandma Tzeitle in Fiddler on the Roof at St. Michael’s Playhouse; Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret  with UVM’s theatre department; Jacqueline in La Cage aux Folles, and Mazeppa in Gypsy  with Lyric Theatre.  Other favorite roles include, Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Meg in Crimes of the Heart, Rizzo in Grease, and Sister Rita in The Runner Stumbles.  Katie has held many day jobs including, nanny, yoga teacher, cab driver and Publicity Coordinator for The New London Barn Playhouse.  A shout out to Bill, Bob and the gang, without whom Katie would not be living the dream.
