Jena Necrason
Jena spent two decades living in New York City performing at venues such as Lincoln Center, The Ohio Theatre, HERE, and The Connelly Theatre. From 1997-2016 she was on faculty at The Stella Adler Studio of Acting teaching in the Professional Conservatory and for New York University Tisch School of the Arts Drama Department. She relocated to Vermont with her family in 2014 to develop Vermont Shakespeare Festival, which she co-founded in 2005 and for which she serves as Co-Artistic Director. A few favorite theatre credits include: Ophelia in Hamlet at the Gorilla Theatre, Nerissa in The Merchant of Venice at the Cherry Lane Theatre, Nurse in Romeo and Juliet, Olivia in Twelfth Night, and Ariel inThe Tempest at Vermont Shakespeare Festival, Mrs. Gibbs in Our Town at the Harold Clurman Lab Theatre, and the devised theatre piece Intersections, commissioned by The Flynn.
