Erika Lowe
Erika Lowe is the arts education programs manager at the Vermont Arts Council. She works to strengthen and support the arts in Vermont—collaborating with artists, statewide partners, community organizations, and the Agency of Education to advocate for and increase student learning in, about, and through the arts. She is responsible for implementing the Council’s arts education efforts, coordinating the Vermont Poetry Out Loud program and Head Start Art Partnership, administering grants, and managing the Council’s teaching artist roster. Erika previously worked as an educator in K–12 private and public education for 13 years, including a Community Based Learning Fellowship focused on design thinking, equity, and technology through the Partnership for Change. Erika served as an exhibitions registrar at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art prior to entering education. She holds a B.A. in Art History and an M.A. in Teaching. She loves to experiment with new art forms. Her endeavors include illustrating, improv, stand-up comedy, and writing content for the web.
