Chrissy Rose

J.STEPHEN BRANTLEY headshot
Chrissy Rose (they/she) is a New York City-based (martial) artist, making their Vermont Stage debut. New York and regional acting credits include THE WOLVES(Studio Theatre), Children of the Sun (Primary Stages, 59E59 Theaters), and a workshop of the new play Malefactions at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. Chrissy began their martial arts training after connecting with her dear friend Sensei Zelda Gay on the set of the short film Catfight (Queens World Film Festival 2020). They hold the rank of shodan (black belt) in full-contact karate from Karate-do Ken Wa Kan, where they teach in both the adult and children’s programs. Chrissy is a semi-knockdown champion and the co-founder of Fearless Queers Self-Defense (@selfdefenseisgay). Acting MFA: Columbia University. Inexpressible thanks to Gina for bringing this story to the world and trusting me with it, to everyone at the dojo for making it possible for me to be here, to Tara for every round, and to Nico for all the rest. Osu.
