Carissa Bellando


Carissa Bellando is a Dance Teaching Artist and Choreographer originally from NY.  She holds a MFA in Contemporary Dance and a BA in Theater and Speech with a concentration in Musical Theater with a minor in Dance.  She performed professionally for thirteen years in Musical Theater and Concert Dance in the US and Taiwan for theaters and cruise ships before retiring from performance to focus solely on teaching and choreographing.  Some of her favorite performance roles include Tumblebrutus in Cats and Die Hexe (The Witch) in Es War Einmal (Once Upon a Time). Carissa has taught and choreographed in the US and Germany for colleges, conservatories, theaters, dance companies, and numerous studios.  Most recently she has choreographed for theaters and dance studios in the Chittenden and Washington counties and is thrilled to be choreographing for Vermont Stage again this year.
