In a performing career that has spanned over 40 years, Brian Johnson has performed as Percussionist/Drummer in a huge variety of settings such as The New York Shakespeare Festival, CBGB/Omfug, The Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Billy & The Buttons, Lyric Theater, The All-Star Moving Company, Protean Theater, CBS/Folkways/OODisc/Button Records, Korean Zen Dance Company, with Allen Ginsberg, The Maple Hill Gang (rock 'n roll!), Organic Oboe, New Music America Festivals, Percussive Arts Society International Conventions, The Vermont Contemporary Music Ensemble, with Dancer Celeste Miller, Opera North, Green Mountain Opera Festival, Vermont Stage, The Ornette Coleman Chamber Music Concert at Carnegie Hall, dinner theaters, jazz clubs and road houses, and in the pits of over 40 musicals.
