PLAYWRITING
led by Gina Stevensen

In this six-week class, we’ll explore practical, dynamic playwriting techniques designed to get you out of your head and bring your ideas onto the page. Each week will begin with generative writing exercises that dig into core elements of playwriting including dialogue, character, plot, theatricality, and voice. We’ll find inspiration in the work of innovative contemporary playwrights and get feedback on our own in-process pages. Whether you’re a theater maker looking for fresh tools or you’re new to writing for the stage, all experience levels are welcome. Come with a project in mind or a blank page!
