Ebonie Marie is a Los Angeles native and east coast based actor, songwriter, and poet whose work intertwines truth-telling, healing, and liberation. Known for her artistic fluidity, kinetic presence, and creative activism, she inhabits every role with a rare mix of depth, vulnerability, and boldness.
She recently wrote and performed her debut one-woman show, do we look FINE, an original choreo-poem exploring heartbreak, hope, and systemic barriers Black artists face in higher-ed Fine Arts programs. Holding both an M.A. and B.A. in Dramatic Arts, Ebonie continues to craft performances that are organically funny, brilliantly witty, and tug on the heartstrings. She is grateful to be part of Vermont Stage’s season and thrilled to experience the state’s vibrant arts community for the first time. Whether she’s curating safe spaces for artists behind the scenes or bringing characters to life on stage or screen, she is committed to exploring the depth of her artistic range and inspiring audiences to reflect, feel, and contest the status quo.
