“BRAVERY IN ACTION”
Stanislavski-based scene study class What do you want, and what are you doing to get it? In this scene-study class we will break down and practice the Stanislavski-based technique of 'Playing an Action'. Most directors use action-oriented language, but there are many variations on the technique. We'll get to know each one and explore applying them to scene work. By doing so, you'll not only grow stronger in script analysis, but in those practical on-stage skills that make others want to be your scene partner. Guided by professional actor and teaching artist Quinn Rol, you’ll work through scenes and exercises designed to deepen presence, unlock authenticity, and keep the process fun. In the final class, Cristina Alicea, Producing Artistic Director of Vermont Stage, will offer feedback from a directorial perspective, reflecting back the moments that resonate most and helping you understand the impact of your choices. There's limited space, so be brave and sign up! Questions? Please email [email protected] or call our office during our box office hours (M-F, 11am-3pm) at 802-862-1497. We'd be happy to answer any questions you have and help place your order over the phone. Vertical Divider
